I have always loved food, but my passion was really established during winter seasons as a chalet cook. After leaving the mountains and working as an event chef, I completed the Professional Cookery Diploma at Leiths with distinction and won the BBC Good Food Award, giving me a six-month placement as their cookery assistant. I then spent four years on the food team at woman&home where I was shortlisted for Young Journalist of the Year, before going to delicious. as deputy food editor. I was promoted to food editor in 2014 – a week before my 30th birthday. After having my son, I decided to make the change to freelance working, and was shortly approached by multi-award winning Slimming World magazine to be their food editor. I continue this role on a freelance basis, overseeing all the food content and writing editorial for each issue.

My experience with such prestigious and varied magazines has given me an incredibly broad spectrum of expertise. I am extremely adaptable, offering each client exactly what they need to appeal to their target audience. My recipes combine a home cook’s need for practicality, a chef’s flair for innovation and an editor’s eye for detail, simplicity and structure.

Having been trained full-time on magazines, I am also able to offer a ‘complete package’ to clients – a strong story with extra takeaway (be it artistic, factual or humorous), first-class recipes that always work, original and bold styling concepts and art direction, and beautiful food styling. I take an enormous amount of pride in my work, and constantly strive to achieve higher standards. If you would like to discuss editorial, corporate or social media commissions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

My clients include:

Leiths School of Food and Wine, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Waitrose, Ocado, Future, delicious. magazine, Quarto, Dorling Kindersley, Penguin Random House, Hello Fresh, Aga and the Gordon Ramsay Academy
